Active Living Tips for Older Adults

Help improve your wellbeing and reduce falls and injuries by being physically active.  Here are some tips for those aged 65 years and over.

Start slowly and build up...

  • Listen to your body to determine the amount of physical activity that is right for you
  • Increase your activity level by 10 minutes during each exercise session.
  • Consult a health professional before starting an exercise program.

To get started, why not try...

  • Walking around the block
  • Taking the stairs instead of the elevator
  • Swimming at your local pool
  • Dancing!
