Happy Holidays

I’d like to wish each one of you Happy Holidays, and say thank you for all of your support this year on CareToKnow.org.

With the holiday season upon us, at Saint Elizabeth Health Care we find ourselves reflecting on the past year of launching this community, and on those who have helped shape it in a most significant way so far. We value our relationship with you, and want you to relax and rest up over the holidays because we need your energy and motivation for 2011!

As for me, my new year's resolution is to be the best mommy I can be as we expand to a family of four! We're excited and blessed to be welcoming a baby boy in January. So, I'm signing off for now and looking forward to the fresh voice that someone new will bring as your Community Animator for 2011. 

I look forward to the community growing and embracing more sharing, conversation, researching and collaborating in 2011. Which brings me to a little suggestion for your New Year's Resolution list...

#1 - Share my story, health care experiences and research, and support families by posting resources on CareToKnow.org. Just log in, and from the 'Tools' menu in the main site navigation, select 'Contribute'. From there, fill in a simple form and that's it!  I didn't start out intending to become so immersed in the social web, but we all have the natural ability to share our stories and support. And health professionals, it's what you love to do - help care for others and keep them in their homes longer, now and all year long. I'm sure many of you can relate.

Now if you're a keener and one resolution isn't enough, here's another (just saying...)

#2 - Comment on some other CareToKnow.org members' posts, to keep a conversation flowing. Conversation is what social networks are all about!

I hope this gives you the confidence to give participating in this great community a shot - or at least the ability to try and not be mortified with the results!

May your holiday season be wrapped up with cheer and filled with celebration for the New Year. Stay tuned for a new Community Animator in 2011 and please give them a warm welcome.
