Canada’s Forum on Patient Safety & Quality Improvement in April 2010 produced engaging sessions from speakers across Canada and the world. The Canadian Patient Safety Institute is sharing the PowerPoint presentations from these sessions with all health care providers.
The Healthcare Human Factors presentation first identifies some supports and barriers to safe medication management that exist in the home care environment. Several slides review the human factors analysis and recommendations for safe medication management, such as opening a pill bottle and filling out a dosette.
