In a free online event on November 30th from 12-1pm EST, The Murray Alzheimer Research and Education Program (MAREP) will introduce their guiding principles and framework that serve as the foundation for an age friendly community. These will include on-line tools for change and resources that can assist your community towards developing solutions to become more age friendly.
The Grand River Council on Aging presentation “Creating a Community of a Lifetime” is the focus of this Age-Friendly Communities event on the experiences in the development of a Master Aging Plan for the City of Brantford and the County of Brant.
A master aging plan is a “roadmap” for the delivery of a comprehensive and coordinated set of community services to older adults who have a wide range of needs. Brantford and Brant County’s Master Aging Plan was developed “for the community by the community”.
Join to hear about their tips and lessons learned, the barriers and challenges faced and the sustainability of the Master Aging Plan, as well as the history of this project.
