Saint Elizabeth Health Care is continuing our focus on diabetes through engagement activities in online diabetes education, diabetes discussion forums, educational webinars (coming next week!), and highlighting key community partner resources through the CareToKnow.org Diabetes Forum.
Did you know that there are a variety of free online resources available to people with diabetes and health care providers alike? Many of these diabetes resources are available on the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) website, or can be linked to from the CDA website.
This week, Saint Elizabeth would like to raise awareness about a fantastic 4 module self-paced online “Healthy Living Series” developed by the Canadian Diabetes Association. These online learning resources are excellent for individuals with diabetes and their families or caregivers, as well as health care providers who want to learn more about diabetes care, management and resources.
The CDA courses include links to many internal and external resources that are imbedded throughout the modules. There are 4 online learning modules addressing the following topics: What is Diabetes, Diabetes Care, Small Changes for Healthy Living, and The Canadian Diabetes Association.
