The holiday season is a festive time of celebration and togetherness, but it can also be a very challenging time for some families dealing with a health condition or illness.

We'd like to gather your stories to share with our CareToKnow.org community and help each other make the holidays meaningful and easier for everyone.

Please share your stories. You may want to celebrate a life, seek support from the community of individuals and professionals, or you may find meaning and connection in seeing what others have to share.

Some suggestions (but feel free to post something different!):

  • Caregivers caring for an aging or elderly parent or family member: Holiday planning tips to support others, and/or questions about how to make the holidays meaningful and comfortable for the person you are caring for.
  • Managing a chronic health condition or disease and keeping up the holiday spirit (remember that saying that laughter is often the best medicine!)
  • Home care organizations like Saint Elizabeth Health Care are about honouring the human face of health care and delivering exceptional care in people's homes. Do you have a story to share about giving or receiving home care nursing, personal support or palliative care services during the holidays?
  • Dealing with loss and grief

You may want to offer encouragement, celebrate a life, seek support from this community of individuals and professionals, or you may find meaning and connection in seeing what others have to share.
